Mel Ciociola began his advertising
career as a copywriter at Gray & Rogers in his home-town of Philadelphia.
After winning major creative awards his first year at G&R, he
moved on to New York City to hone and test his skills among the best
and brightest.
In New York, Mel became known for creating highly effective, award-winning
branding and advertising campaigns at agencies the caliber of N.W.
Ayer, Young & Rubicam and BBDO.
At BBDO he advanced to become one of the top Worldwide Creative Directors
for one of the greatest ad agencies in the world. After several award-winning
years at BBDO NY, he was assigned to BBDO Chicago as Executive Vice
President/Executive Creative Director and a member of the agencys
Operating Committee.
He has gathered extensive creative and strategic experience on a broad
range of major brands and clients, including Burger King, Wrigley,
Chrysler, General Foods, Bristol-Myers, Ralston-Purina, Andrew Jergens,
AT&T, American Home Products, Citibank, Richardson-Vicks, RJR,
Gillette and Pepsico, to name just a few.
During the course of his career, Mel has won virtually every industry
award for creative excellence, including Clio, Andy, Effie, Ad Age
100 Best, Art Directors Club Of New York, The One Show and many,
many more.
